Black Creek Pioneer Village is a historic site about 29 kilometers (18 miles) northwest of downtown Toronto at 1000 Murray Ross Parkway.[1] This village overlooks Black Creek and brings you back to recreational 19th century Ontario, providing a glimpse of what life was like in rural Ontario during this period.[2] The village includes a recreated mill, general store, and blacksmith’s shop. All of these shops are run by villagers dressed in period costumes and demonstrating their skills and crafts. Occasionally, there is even a re-enactment of a wedding. The village is open generally from mid-March until the end of the year.[3]
