Best Indian Food in Maine!

Amber says 15 years ago
Indian food is a type of cuisine that when cooked right, it will leave a lasting impression on you. I can say about 11 years ago as a College student at BowdoinCollege, right down the street from Bombay Mahal, a group of students from my Economics class stopped in for a quick lunch. Since that day, Bombay Mahal is one of the only restaurants in New England that I actually can say I enjoy dining at. I live in Mass, and the amount of Indian restaurants is huge, but none can compare to the quality and taste of food prepared by Bombay Mahal. The breads are to die for, and the endless options on the menu leave you pondering for hours. I actually got to meet the family that owns the establishment about a year ago, and they are ever so kind, and wonderful hosts/people....Anyone looking for good quality, tasty Indian food, check out the Bombay Mahal in Brunswick Maine...It will probably be packed with college kids like myself back in the day, or everyone from families to locals to tourists looking to enjoy exotic Indian cuisine!

The sauce had a consistency not much thicker than water, and a taste akin to water with ...

Bridge from Bombay to Brunswick
The menu at Bombay Mahal is extensive, offering many different soups, appetizers, and a wide array of chicken, lamb, seafood, and vegetarian entrees. There are also a few combination platters available, perfect for the indecisive and those new to Indian food. On Saturdays and Sundays, the restaurant...

Bombay Mahal: The Promise and the Pitfall
Our sojourn up the Ganges (or as we know it, the Androscoggin) commenced with potentially tantalizing appetizers. I awaited "a truly remarkable" Mulligatawny soup, a samosa, and the "intricate part of Indian cuisine" (i.e. bread). My co-colleague found her soup dishearteningly ho...
