Brlog is rather a long village in Lika with 410 inhabitants and with houses along the Otocac to Senj road. It is situated south of Brinje, where there are the ruins of the medieval town Brlog, which was built in 1685. The church of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1885.
Five kilometers from Brlog there is the Zuta lokva village, where the remains of a Roman building were found. It served as an inn for the travelers on the Roman road Senj-Sisak, from where it goes on to Salona. It is the oldest material finding place from the Roman period. Brlog was mentioned as a district in 1706. In the vicinity there are the remains of the Gusic town, the castle of the famous Croatian Krbava headmen.
The Brlog soil hides the foundations of the Brlog fortress. There are also the remains of some other fortresses and a Roman settlement. The place was first mentioned in 1537. In the village of Konoplje near Brvno there is an old house with the inscription: "The elementary school of Silvije Strahimir Kranjcevic", which continues the tradition of the 1857 primary school, because it was from here that the poet's ancestors moved to Senj.
