The surrounding area is rich in woods and it is attractive to the visitors because it is situated in the mountain crest that connects slopes of the Psunj and Ravna gora and separates the valley of the river Orljava from the valley of the Pakra. Village Bucje was populated by Serbs and was burned down and totally devastated by Croatian troops who found almost empty village with only few old people. Croatian troops killed elderly people and destroyed the whole village on December 1991. Only few families returned to Bucje after more than 15 years as a refugees. |
