Caoavica is a municipality with a population of 920, located on the Slatina-Donji Miholjac road. A finding belonging to the Martinovian culture was excavated near the place. (6th century). It is the oldest object found in Croatia, belonging to the Slav culture. These found objects are decorative boards, a golden bracelet, presumed to be made in Kontska goldsmith workshop. Cadavica was first mentioned in 1626. The parish church of St Peter was built in 1778. | |
