Low Key with nice location - user review Pretty quiet place and you can tell they kind of like it that way. They don't go out of their way to be over the top in any way; doors, walls, fixtures are well maintained despite their age. Rooms and hallways are sanitary for sure. However, this hotel is proud of it's age and sense of history. Spec... stlouis.citysearch.com
Customer Service - user review This hotel is is cozy and romantic. The Fox and the Hound is a great piano bar tucked away in the main lobby. Mark, the bartender, is wonderful as is the piano player. Sounded like a charming hotel......... WRONG - user review Ok, first thing when we showed up, we noticed a very nauseous smell comming from the lobby sitting area, appearently the fire place was smelling quite musty so they tried to cover it up by spraying some kind of orange smelling degreaser everwhere. all it did was combine the two smells. Very quaint and good location - user review The hotel was very theme oriented and nice in a kitchsy way. The pool area was good; the pool was enclosed for the Fall and Winter, but not heated when we were there. Restaurant was closed for remodel. The location was excellent, very close to downtown and the Zoo, and very easy to get to from the h... expedia.com
Dirty! - user review This hotel needs a major overhaul! We booked the Raj Suite for one night and it was old, run down, and dirty. There were no standard ammenities, no room service, no lamps (only a huge overhead light). The second night we booked the Sherwood Forest Suite, it at least had light. It was no where worth ... fodors.com
No title - user review My sons and I stayed here on the recommendation of a friend who lives in St Louis. It's nice for those reasons but I missed some of the amenities of the econo inns, specifically the litt... mytravelguide.com
