Green Lake is a neighborhood in north-central Seattle that is centered around Greek Lake Park. It is bordered by Phinney Ridge to the west and Wallingford to the south. The main attraction of the neighborhood is Green Lake, which is 50,000 years old, created by receding glaciers from the ice age.[1] All around it are trails and park space that is popular among joggers, strollers, picnic-goers, and Frisbee-throwers.[2] There are ice cream shops across the street from the lake that are popularly frequented in the summer months.
