No title - user review A lot of the hostel is still under construction but it is quite a good place. The antique toilets are really funny and the beds are good. The crew is very friendly and they even gave me information on all the tourist sights in Manchester. However, the breakfast is bad. They say they have free toast ... hostelz.com
No title - user review Every time we come and play in Manchester we stay here because it's clean, close to the action and just generally pretty cool (the staff are top as well). I would defini... hostelz.com
No title - user review I stayed here twice and will again. I paid 5 for a bed in a 10 bed single sex dorm. This place is great, and having spoken to the people who run the place (who are really friendly), I know that they're planning on making more improvements, so things will only get better. My only complaint is the dod... hostelz.com
No title - user review I thought the location of Hatters hostel is perfect. Only a few minutes walk from Picadilly station, and an easy walk to Chinatown; the gay village; Arndale centre; Northern Quarter shops; and Oxford road with its university campuses, musuems, and galleries. The hostel itself is very old and bit run... hostelz.com
No title - user review I visited this hostel back in May. It looked like the hostel was in the process of being renovated. I could still smell the paint around the bathrooms. The rooms were nice and the beds and sheets were new; the best beds I have seen in any hostel. Internet access consists of one computer. The free to... hostelz.com
No title - user review I was here back in April, and I can say that the Hatters is great! The people who run it were really helpful and nice. It's really clean, the beds are nice, it has a good location. Plus I met some great people there, and we all ended up having such a great time going out to see a rock show down the ... hostelz.com
No title - user review It was my first time to stay in this hostel, and I will list out those things that I found myself satisfied and dissatisfied with.On the day of arrival, my room wasn't available until 1.5 hrs after the check in time. The washing machines were not available in the hostel, which is contrary to the inf... hostelz.com
No title - user review Nice people, nice location. I just stayed for two nights on bank holiday, Saturday and Sunday. It's a short walk from everything you need: Victoria Station, Chorlton Street Coach Station, Shopping Mile and Nightlife Mile (on Oxford Road). I will c... hostelz.com

No title - user review This place had clean rooms and a great location within the city. My only gripe was the showers. They had little water flow, and they were freezing cold. Maybe it was just the floor that I was on (5th), but that really ticked me off about this place. If you're in town for one night to party and have ... hostelz.com
No title - user review This place is relatively clean compared to some hostels. The decor leaves a little to be desired. Everything is whitewashed, which gives the place the atmosphere of a concentration camp. The Victorian toilets may be a novelty to some but I think these definitely need to be replaced, as they are well... hostelz.com
No title - user review This was a good place to stay. I can recommend it to all who want a low profile stay in Manchester. When they fix some things that need repair, this will become a very good hostel. It has very nice people, and also the staff are... hostelz.com
No title - user review To be fair, I can't fault the staff, who were friendly and helpful, but we had an awful night because it was so noisy. There seemed to be cars revving up on the street outside the hostel and drunkards shouting throughout the night. The room was really hot, so we could either have a boiling and quiet... hostelz.com
No title - user review We went to the Sankeys Soap club and got to The Hatters at 5:30 a.m. The place was clean, warm and friendly. The bed was really comfy and warm. Well recommended to anyone. It's ... hostelz.com
No title - user review Well, I just made it to the reception after a long trip by train. I don't have a driver's licence, and hey, in the U.K., there's no such thing as an ID card (not just yet). My reservation was found alright, for two nights, but all I could show with my picture and name on together was my key card fro... hostelz.com
