No title - expert review Located in Positano, the pearl of the Amalfi coast, hostel Brikette is the perfect place to stay while touring places like Pompeii, Ercolano, Sorrento, Capri, Ravello and Amalfi as they are all in easy reach. Our hostel is conveniently located near the bus stop and is a 10 minute stairs walk to the b... bootsnall.com
No title - user review A great place to stay. It's good for relaxing on the beach and just generally doing nothing but recharging. That is, apart from the trek to and from the beach. But you can catch an orange shuttle bus to the beach. I only found ... hostelz.com
No title - user review Although I found the hostel to be clean, with wonderful views, that is all I have to say about it that's positive. The staff were generally rude, with ridiculous rules. The hostel is closed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day, so you have to plan first thing in the morning what you'll need for the day.... hostelz.com
No title - user review Apparently they have hot water and dinner every night now. However, the manager is still a dark cloud looming over the hostel and I truly pity the lovely employees who have to work for her. The no outside food rules are annoying, since food is so expensive in Positano and there are grocery and fruit... hostelz.com
No title - user review By far, this is the greatest hostel that I have ever stayed at. I was one of those who planned on staying for two days and stayed for four. Bruschetta and Chianti on the patio with the amazing view still linger in my memory from three years ago. ... hostelz.com
No title - user review Hostel Brikette is an amazing place not only are you in paradise, though your situated on a beautiful cliff overseeing all of Positano, breath taking. I was traveling alone and was welcomed by Christina and her cute dog. Her welcoming and warmth was truly memorable, she was so sweet! The Hostel itse... hostelz.com
No title - user review I did not like how the hot water was only on certain times of day and while I was there there was no sign of any dinner (only drinks for sale at night). It is a long walk from the beach and the nice part of Positano, but close to the bus stop for Amalfi. If you go here you have to go to the trattori... hostelz.com
No title - user review I don't know whether the hostel has new owners, but I stayed there in 1999 and it was excellent beautifully clean, friendly, great position, stunning views and I was in m... hostelz.com
No title - user review I stayed here for three nights in June 2005. It was one of the highlights of my trip. The hostel itself was clean, comfortable, and well run. Had no issues with the staff. The view from the balcony (and your dormitory window if you get a front room) is breathtaking unparalled by the view from a host... hostelz.com
No title - user review I stayed here in 1999 and it appears that the staff has changed and many more rules have been added. In fact, this was my favourite stay in all of Italy I too extended my trip by four days. I was hoping to return this summer, but will probably change my mind based on the new rules and staff. In fact... hostelz.com
No title - user review I stayed here in 2003. It was during my first visit to Italy. Now, after several additional visits and many more experiences, my time at this hostel remains one of the highlights of my travels. I was with my family, and we all agreed that the location and the view could not be beat. Anna (the reside... hostelz.com
No title - user review Marvelous. There is a breathtaking view from the terrace and friendly staff. Bring earplugs if you're staying in the dorm section, but of course that's generally a rule for any hostel. Access to Pompeii/Naples/etc. is no worse than anywhere else along the coast in fact, the bus ride to Sorrento is p... hostelz.com
No title - user review On first appearances this hostel looked very good; i.e., it has an excellent balcony and location on a hillside. However my stay in this hostel turned out to be a nightmare, thanks to the vindictiveness of the staff. The owner/manager of the hostel, Christina (be very careful of this apparently frie... hostelz.com
No title - user review This hostel looked great at first. The balcony was fantastic, everything was new, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The staff, however, were rude and disorganised. We had booked 2 weeks before over the internet, and they charged us more as a consequence. When asked why we were being charged m... hostelz.com
No title - user review We stayed here in Summer 2006 on a trip around Italy and Greece. It was one of the most beautiful places I'd ever seen well worth a visit. We only stayed two nights as we were constantly on the move but I could have stayed a month! The town is so peaceful with the typically chilled out Italian way of... hostelz.com
No title - user review We were greeted on arrival by an outwardly friendly owner, Christiana, whose thinly vailed spite quickly became apparent. We witnessed her reducing her six foot American footballer staff to tears and were overcharged for our room. We were then told tales of Christiana's famous Italian cuisine only t... hostelz.com
