No title - expert review Ours is a very nice hotel located just 100 metres from the sea and 2 kilometres from Ouistreham's marina where the ferries arrive from England. The hotel is also located in the heart of the Landing Beaches and the museums devoted to those events. And a large choice of nautical activities is available... bootsnall.com
No title - expert review This 19th-century town house is a Moderniste enclave, with an original chapel, a hall-of-mirrors breakfast room, an ornate staircase, and Belle Epoque phone booths. (To stay in character, go around the block to Gaudí's Casa Calvet, at No. 48 Carrer de Casp, for lunch or dinner.) Guest rooms h... fodors.com
No title - expert review The Granvía has seen better days, that's for sure, but nevertheless it retains a certain faded grandeur with its glittering chandeliers, marble lobby and sweeping staircase and has a good deal more character than the rather uniform four-star business hotels that have sprung up all over town. ... frommers.com
No title - expert review Location. The Hotel Granvia is located in the business and entertainment districts of central Barcelona, Spain. Passeig de Gracia, with Gaudi buildings, and modernist street lamps is 250 meters from the hotel. Plaza Catalunya, with large stores and cafes, is 300 meters away. Four blocks from the hot... sidestep.com
Great Value & Great Location - user review My wife and I stayed at Gran Via for 2 nights in Sept 2003 before our cruise. Took the train to Placa da Catalunya from the airport( 5 euros for the 2 of us), 5 min walk to the hotel. 110 euros and well worth it. Breakfast buffet was convenient and adequate. The place is a mansion of the past and ha... epinions.com
This is a lovely hotel - user review I stayed here with my wife and son and we were very satisfied with this hotel. We had a room with two queen beds. The room was decently sized and the bathroom was up to par with American standards (if that is a concern for you). The hotel itself is beautiful on the inside. There is no air conditioni... expedia.com

Nice little hotel, great location, comfortable - user review The location of this hotel is great, a couple of blocks away from Plaza de Catalunya. It's easy to explore the city on foot from there, because there is easy access to Eixample, Barri Gotic, Las Ramblas, the University area, Sagrada Familia. The room was very... expedia.com
good value but noisy for us - user review The only time we spent here at the hotel was to shower and sleep. There is an elevator but easy steps to climb when without luggage. The noise from above us two of our three nights was awful until 6am each morning! It sounded like dropping suitcases, moving furniture and of course featured walking o... expedia.com
Great location limited room comfort - user review This hotel couldn't have been located in a better place. There's a metro stop practically one step out the front door with access direct from and to the airport. I did the Barcelona Card with unlimited access on the Metro, buses, and Renfe (train to and from airport) plus some museum entrances for f... expedia.com
Well Run Hotel in Near Ideal Location - user review We checked in 28 June 2006 for six nights, having reserved on Expedia. Everything was in order upon arrival and the room was just as expected, based on the pictures on Expedia. We had requested a non smoking room and there was no trace of smoke in our room. The room was immaculate upon arrival and w... expedia.com
No title - user review Some nice touches to this hotel (e.g. nicely decorated lounge with free internet, sunny terrace) and a good location. Desk staff are efficient. However, breakfast at EUR 10 is overpriced and the hotel should inform guests that it's not included in t... fodors.com
Bad Dream at the Gran via - user review This was, by far, the most depressing experience we had on our 7 city visit in Spain. I was blown away by the quality, charm and service at all of the many beautiful hotels we stayed in until we encountered this dismal place. I actually awoke in the night feeling like I was having a nightmare. Terri... fodors.com
Great location, charming stairways, great breakfast - user review While the rooms were somewhat austere, they were pleasant, clean, and fairly quiet if you aren't on the Gran Via. Breakfast was terrific in a lovely room. Free intern... fodors.com
Faded glory but still charming - user review We wanted to stay near Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter but were concerned about the potential noise factor. Most of the hotels in Barcelona were booked up but we were lucky e... travel.yahoo.com
