No title - expert review What started as a sleepy 12-room hostelry - one of PV's very first - is now a busy 115-room downtown hotel. It's still a viable budget option, mainly recommended for its location on the north end of the malecón. Rooms are very basic; expect shower-only baths, white-tile floors, and fabrics wi... fodors.com

Noise Noise Noise - user review Beware taking a room adjacent to the street. Very, very noisy to the point where you cannot sleep at night due to the party goers, muffler less cars and night club noises. The hotel is only 4 feet from a very busy street and the sound proofing is poor for the adjacent rooms. Try the ocean view or po... epinions.com
Great Hotel, Great Location, Terrible Noise - user review Booking a stay at the Hotel Rosita was irresistible thanks to the rock bottom prices. I decided to ignore the reviews all over the internet that said the Rosita is too noisy, and paid $337 for 7 nights for two people (that price... epinions.com

Good location, nice staff, no air con - user review I missed air condition, otherwise, it is fine. We have chosen ocean view room to avoid nosie coming from the street. Nevertheless, the local youngsters gathered under our window every night, so it was noisy anyway. Staff is very nice, but that is characteristic of whole Puerto Vallarta. Traveler's t... expedia.com
Bad Location - user review I stayed on first floor on the corner of the hotel. My room was on the street side. The noise was unbearable. Not from the cobble stone street but from people driving down the boardwalk with their CD players blasting. I could feel the vibration and had to actually plug my ears at times. This went on... expedia.com
Budget friendly - user review La Rosita is well known in PV and even keeps a camera on their rooftop so you can see the place live from home. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly, but do your absolute best to get a room on the ocean side. We got a great deal for 4 nights, but I woke up every hour starting at 3am becau... expedia.com

convenient - user review Perfect location, right on the end of the Malceon . Walking distance to shops, restaurants, entertainment. Check in was a little difficult though, upgraded room to ocean view, which was beautiful. Rooms were neat and clean, but building is old. Pool is small, air conditioning is extra, fridge is ext... expedia.com
the hotel is good for the price... great location - user review the hotel is good for a person that is going to puerto vallarta on a partying plan... the hotel is smack down where the party is the only thing that sux is the noise if you are on the street side and if you try to bring someone to the room the security is pretty tough so you have to sneak them up. i... expedia.com
Decent for the price - user review The hotel is what you would expect for the price. Not bad, but not great. This was our budget vacation, so we weren't looking for a stellar hotel. The location is great, just at the beginning of the Malecon (Boardwalk). Just don't get a room on the streetside because it can get pretty noisy. Staff d... expedia.com
Great service! - user review The Rosita Hotel had excellent service. The room was smaller than we had expected and had what looked like mold under the air conditioner, we were changed to another room and the next day the maintence crew worked on that room and fixed the problem. I liked that the hotel was the 1st hotel of Pto. V... expedia.com
Great location - user review The Rosita is the oldest hotel in PV, and it has a lot more charm than newer hotels in the area. It's right in the heart of downtown at the start of the Malecon, so the location couldn't be better. It's important to note that you should only stay here if you can get a room on the back or side rooms ... expedia.com
Rosita Hotel a dump - user review This hotel is about 50 years old and looks it, the sleeping rooms especially. The bathroom has mold and mildew and is cleaned only at a cursory level. My room and most rooms are over the street, which is VERY loud, the locals drive by late at nite and blast their music. Sunday morning at 7am the sta... expedia.com

Beautiful hotel - user review This was my first trip to Mexico and I'll definitely stay at the Rosita again. It's located in the middle of everything. The staff was very helpful esp. when I needed help converting dollars to pesos. I had a room facing the street and although there was action on the street, the noise did not filte... expedia.com

Nice older hotel - user review We chose to stay at the Rosita because it was in the heart of the old town area. The first night we had a room too close to the Malecon walkway and the noise did not stop until after 3:00 AM. We requested and got a room over the pool/patio on the ocean side (for a little extra)and that was wonderful... expedia.com
Loved the Hotel Rosita - user review We just returned from the Hotel Rosita and I couldn't have been more pleased. We had an oceanview room on the 4th floor and our balcony was as big as our room. The people were very helpful and the service was good. Excellent location right downtown. We will be coming back to the Rosita again next ti... expedia.com
Fond memories - user review We loved Hotel Rosita. Our rooms were as simple as could be, no amenitites, but it didn't matter. The location, right on the malecon, was perfect for the lively vacation we wanted to have. We saved tons in taxi fares to restaurants, clubs, shops and excursions. And the common areas of the hotel are ... expedia.com
