Kupari is a village and the summer resort with a population of 1700 in Zupa Dubro-vacka. A particular king of tiles, the Kupa tile was once produced here, giving the village its present name. The fortified city of Tureta, located in the vicinity, was built as the protection against the pirate attacks. It was built in the 17th Century by Orest Durde-vic. Numerous tourist objects and hotels "Palegrin", "Kupari", "Galeb 1", "Galeb 2", "Galeb 3" as well as other villas, which were built as objects for recreation and enjoyment of the military officials, have been built here. The Yugoslav army has destroyed all of these facilities before its retreat from the area, and the revealed underground facilities give us the full picture of the scale of the Yugoslav army's former property.
