Petrovci is a place with a population of 1300 situated 8 km south from Vukovar on the road to Stari Mikanovci. From here the roads lead to Bogoslavci and Martinci. This was once the old settlement Rasini where the bishop used to have his seat. The majority of population is Ukrainian and have moved to these parts some hundred yrs ago.
The Petrovac art colony of Russian and Ukrainian artists is active in the local Hall of culture. An ethnography-his collection is located in the building built in the authentic Ukrainian style. The Catholic church of the Mother of God was built in 1893.
