Rajevoselo Travel Guide

Rajevoselo is a place with a population of 1470 on the road from Zupanja to Brcko. The peculiarity of its position consists of the fact that it is almost surrounded by the Sava river. Don. Matija Sladojevic, a Glagolitic priest and the leader of the Poljice appraisal against the Napoleonic conquerors, spent his last days here.

People of various nationalities including Croats, Serbs, Muslims, Russians and others live here. Frequent shelling in the war of 1991 caused considerable damage to this place.

The English industrials had built a river port here on the river Sava, mainly used for the unloading of logs. The place has three churches: the Roman catholic, the Russian orthodox and the Greek catholic church. The Roman catholic church of St. Ilija was built in 1805, whereas the other two have been built more recently.
