The Hall
 Vaughan is one of Ontario’s fastest growing cities and is located north of Toronto. It was first settled mainly by Pennsylvania Germans and later by French Royalists and British immigrants. Today, the small town is made up of various ethnic cultures from Italians and Jews to Eastern Europeans.
The main attraction of Vaughan is the amusement park, Canada’s Wonderland, which draws over three million each year. The park has over 60 thrill rids and North America’s third greatest number of roller coasters. It also has a 15,000 seat amphiteatre that plays host to various concerts in the summer. For the more aquatically-inclined, the Splash Works waterpark features an artificial mountain and dozens of waterslides.
The other attraction of Vaughan is the Vaughan Mills. This is a recently opened mall encompassing 1.2 million square feet of retail space. The complex hosts over 200 retail stores, entertainment outlets, and restaurants. |
