Looks like an interesting place to go Dale says 16 years ago |
I've heard a lot about this place, its proud naval heritage... how it's Russia's only major port that does not freeze over at certain parts of the year. Lots of history here. Would be nice to visit. I know a guy who went... but it seemed like all he did was hang out with the women. |
Russia's Pacific Heart Amy says 16 years ago |
What can I say but I had to visit Vladivostok. It's significance to Russian and Soviet history is very high despite its distance from the main power and population centers of Russia, all based on the western side of the Urals. It's traditional connection was the famed Trans-Siberian railway, something I want to try but haven't been able to get around to. It was very nice seeing the famous harbor live for a change and it was well worth a short visit while visiting Japan. |
