Vrbovska is a place with a population of 520 at an elevation of 38 m, situated on the northern coast of the island of Hvar. The Renaissance church of St Mary was built as a fort. The Baroque church of St Lovrienc is first mentioned in 1579 and is full of valuable paintings by both foreign and national painters. The locals occupy themselves with tourism and the cultivation of vineyards and olive trees. | |
