West Seattle is a district of Seattle that is situated southwest of downtown. It is surrounded by saltwater from all three of its sides. It offers the best collection of seaside paths and parks in Seattle and some of the most stunning views of the city across Elliott Bay.[1] Not only do you enjoy the beautiful bay and Puget Sound, but you’ll get a panorama of the Seattle skyline, which is gorgeous at night when illuminated.
Among the main attractions of West Seattle include Alki Beach, the beach shores of Seattle’s western most point.[2] Alki itself resembles a California beach town, and Alki Beach reminiscent of a California beach. The waterfront is lined with apartment complexes, bike paths and trails, and marina shops. During the summer, the beach hosts concerts like the Seattle Music Fest.[3]
Another West Seattle attraction is High Point. This is a neighborhood that is home to the highest point in Seattle at 520 feet high. The hill has two large water towers with naturally spectacular views of Seattle and its natural beauty.[4]
Lincoln Park is another draw of West Seattle. It is one of the city’s largest parks with tennis courts, picnic shelters, and a swimming pool and beach.[5]
