About Me:
Well, what to say. I am a Navy brat so I've lived a few places, and I'm so thankful for that now b/c it planted a love for traveling in my heart. I want to go everywhere...other cultures absolutely fascinate and captivate me, and I love to soak them up! I love being adventurous and spontaneous. I love being outdoors, especially in the water. I love everywhere I have been so far, and I can't wait to see the rest of the world!
Spoken Languages:
English, some Spanish, snippets of Russian, Romanian, Japanese, and Gaelic
Interests:
traveling, scuba diving, kayaking, rock-climbing, volleyball, paintball, photography, lighthouses, the ocean, rollercoasters, animals, art. sea glass, snorkeling, flowers, singing, frisbee, praise and worship, flying kites, baking
Favorite Cuisines:
Thai, Italian, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Cuban
Favorite Destinations:
Moldova, Okinawa, Cancun
Favorite Books and Authors:
Redeeming Love-Francine Rivers, The Chronicles of Narnia-C.S. Lewis, Wicked-Gregory Maguire
Favorite Movies:
Ever After, Beyond Borders, Madagascar, Finding Nemo, Memoirs of a Geisha, Gigi, Singin' in the Rain, The Sound of Music, A Lot Like Love, Four Weddings and a Funeral
Most Memorable Travel Experience:
Moldova in June 2006. It was a mission trip in rural villages, and I can't remember a time when I was that happy. Every day was a new adventure, lots of challenges and language barriers, but every day was the most satisfying, exciting, captivating day of my life. I loved everything about it; the people, the language, the scenery, the food, the lifestyle, my team. It was a whole new world, and the best part was I was working with people who love Christ passionately as much as I do. That bond is like nothing else.

Estonia is very beautiful. If you like nature, you should go. It’s kinda like Russia. Lots of trees, rivers, and lakes… like nobody has been there to pollute it. Lol. Any snippet of Russian I picked up has sadly been forgotten by my dumb brain Smile You must be getting pretty good at the language? I really impressed with all those languages you know!

Ok, so I figured it out. We can fly into the capital of K (I'll call it K from now on because I'm sick of looking at my map to see how it's spelled) for just over $1000. I know steep, but how many people go there? And... we can have a long layover in Moscow! Or we could go there on our round the world trip???? Sound good???

I have been only to the NW region of Russia. Have you heard of Pskov? Izborsk? My friends and I drove from Estonia and we didn't get to stay long. I like Russia a lot because it is so naturally beautiful and there are some untouched places you wonder if people ever go. I want to go back some time but stay longer.
